Hmm, mine are on west side but it's a bit to southwest. Afternoon sun is strongest. Is there any southern place to mount them available? It all depends too whether you want to go performance over aesthetics on that.
A few people have made an sort of solar awning, mounting them off the southern wall over some windows. Some have put up a pole and pole mounted the solar to maximize harvest. Most seem to prefer the roof and even when it's not ideal they want them up and out of the way.

Many of my customers choose a ground mounted array or pole mount kit. This can be put anywhere on your property and looks great. These also offer a multi-purpose of making a shaded area maybe for a picnic table underneath or can put it at poolside. Ground mounts and pole mounts can be designed and I can help you figure out and design a solution that fits.

These are just a few of the options and I have installed systems in every way imaginable. Thats why I have such a large customer base and body of work. When you buy your system I will help you plan all that out and design the best solution for your property and needs. I would love to power your home and run your meter backwards!
